So, after an amazing four months working with the Buenos Aires Pub Crawl, my last day working as a photographer was the day before the elections! For some reason, the day before elections in Argentina all bars and clubs are closed, so a few of my friends threw a house party on their terrace! These are my favourite photos that I took. I think they're the best photos I've taken on the job so far!

Here's me in Madrid when I was 14 or 15, I don't remember well. I used to wear super short skirts - and still do, but not as often since I'm not as skinny!

This is me in my elementary school reunion the summer I bought my first dress, before I bought it! I used to dress kind of "indie" I guess? I think my out-of-lolita style hasn't changed that much. I used to basically wear floral dresses and combat boots all the time (before it was cool on lookbook, haha)

Me and Nico have been turning into basement dwellers, or as my friend Ákos calls it, reverse basement dwellers since instead of transitioning from staying in to going out we're doing the opposite! We started playing an MMORPG called Lucent Heart for when I move back, since it's couple based and forces us to spend time together online. I'm already on level 31!

Usually when I play Lucent Heart I have my old laptop to play since it's only for Windows, and my newer one to be on the internet when stuff loads or when my character is walking from one place to another using the auto-pilot-type-thing. I have a problem.

It tells you to stop playing when you've been online for too long, which I found funny. Here's a photo so you don't think it's shooped!

For a while, I used a really ugly backpack that I got for free from my program in school and was trying to find a new cuter one to replace it. With a lot of luck, I found this baby on sale in Trippin'! I think it used to be AR$800-900, but I got it for AR$420! It's real leather and reminds me of randoseru~

I went back to Nolineal and bought a bikini! I love love love the print. It's inspired by Where The Wild Things Are. I actually never saw the hipster 3D movie thing but I loved the book when I was a kid~

I wore it today when me and Nico went tanning in his back yard!

I've been chilling a lot lately instead of going out, and I've also been working a bit more! So instead of partying, I usually just spend days in Palermo or at Nico's, eating and shopping~ as proof, here are photos to prove it from his blackberry!

I've become obsessed with Barbie-themed items as you can see with the food, and since in the last entry I showed you my shirt from the Barbie house in Palermo, I bought another one in the Barbie store in Unicenter!

We were going to watch Lion King 3D together, but they only had showings at 8 PM and midnight, and it took forever to go there and back because tomorrow is Día de la raza. So we just went to the Barbie store and also I found out the new happy meals are from Pokémon Black/White!

So, this is the update I've been trying to make for a million years! I've bought a lot of things since I got here, so I want to show them all to you~

I finally got two of my dream shoes, Adidas x Jeremy Scott bear shoes and Adidas x Jeremy Scott winged flats! In reality, I would've preferred the pink bear shoes from last season, but obviously those are impossible to find now, and they didn't have the winged flats in white... but I'm happy regardless! Now I'm just waiting for the pink Lady Dragon shoes from Melissa x Vivienne Westwood come into the Buenos Aires store, since they only have the black ones ;0;

I bought this adorable bag in the feria in Palermo from a brand called Toy Pop Collectors. It's a bear! The only thing is that I wish it had a snap closure instead of a magnet one, since I lost my phone because of that~!

I found a really adorable store called Nolineal in Palermo, and they make clothing with prints inspired by films. I bought two pairs of tights, one inspired by Totoro and another inspired by Black Cat White Cat (both AMAZING movies of course!) and I'm really thinking about buying another pair inspired by Pon Poko!

In the newspaper stand in front of my house I bought this My Little Pony book with silly games like spot the difference between two pictures, it was really entertaining for about thirty minutes (me and Nico worked together and ended up cheating on them... the book said something like "Needs Help of Adult" which makes it embarassing) and it came with a lot of stickers!

En el puesto de periódicos al frente de mi casa compre este libro de Mi pequeño Pony con juegos ridículos como encontrar las diferencias entre las dos imágenes, que era muy divertido para más o menos treinta minutos (Nico y yo trabajamos juntos y al final hicimos trampa... el libro dijo algo como "Necesita ayuda de un adulto" que me da vergüenza) ¡y vino con muchas pegatinas!

I actually didn't buy this, it's possibly one of the oldest phones ever to be in colour/have a camera and Nico had it lying around so he just gave it to me and I made it pretty!

What's in my bag?

To be honest, in Buenos Aires I rarely bring a bag (even when wearing lolita) unless it's for my classes or when I'm working as a photographer since I'm an idiot who doesn't own a camera strap~ and when that happens I just take any random bag I own that's big enough to fit my camera! SO, this is what I do have when I do bring a bag! If you noticed, I don't even have a wallet since it's too dangerous to have it, so I usually bring cash wadded up and maybe my debit card or credit card.

Long, long, long delayed update!

I haven't blogged in like, two months I think? I've gone through a lot of changes in my life recently, so I've been too busy dealing with those things! Right now I'm in Mar del Plata (more on that in another entry when I'm back in the capital) and I don't have a lot of time so I won't translate this entry, sorry (;^;)

For starters, I'm now a member of the Buenos Aires Pub Crawl staff!

It's such fun that sometimes I even go on the pub crawl when I'm not working!

I mostly work as staff, but I'm also photographer on some nights. I've only done that a few times but honestly what is better than being paid doing something you love? These are some of my favourite photos that I've taken on the job.

I met some of my closest friends today through the pub crawl as well, like my two neighbours Lissy and Amelia!

Plus, through this I've discovered the best place to party ever: HYPE at KIKA! I'm there every single Tuesday, and in VIP of course!

Other than that, I went to Tigre a long time ago with my first study abroad program! You can see more photos here!

That day, we also went to San Isidro to visit Villa Ocampo where Victoria Ocampo lived. I bought an issue of Revista Sur there!

We also went to an Estancia, with fake gauchos and everything~

I live in a house that has an adorable cat named Delfino who likes to mess up my room...

I discovered the most delicious hot sauce ever created, Ya Ya Beans.

There was a really huge change in my life relationship-wise that I won't bore you all with, but one day I met a pretty boy with big green eyes named Nico (^0^) Whatever we are, it's nice.

We go to this place called Sugar in Palermo Soho every week basically. These photos are from the first time we went with Lissy and Diego!

Nico has a dog that likes to drool on me and doesn't realise that I don't appreciate his drooling~

He's teaching me how to skate, and we went to Tecnópolis to the skate park! Then we saw the other silly things they have there.

This is basically the first part of a long long long delayed update, and I'll try to update more now, but with school and work I barely have time! I need to show some cool things I've bought lately~ this photo is a preview...

On Monday I celebrated AMERICA FREEDOM DAY with the Buenos Aires Pub Crawl! It was the first time I've celebrated it in my life, and definitely a great night. I wore stars to make up for the fact that I was an idiot who didn't buy the American flag booty shorts I saw in New Yorker back in Budapest!

El lunes celebré AMERICA FREEDOM DAY (es que no tiene el mismo efecto si lo traduzco!) con el Buenos Aires Pub Crawl! Fue la primera vez que lo celebré en mi vida, y definitivamente una noche buena. Llevé estrellas para compensar ser idiota que no compró los pantalones cortos de la bandera estadounidense que ví en New Yorker en Budapest!

10 things you will never do in lolita

Smoke. I'm a smoker, but I will pretty much never smoke in lolita because I don't want to deal with getting the smell out. Which leads me to the next one:
Go to crowded bars. I mean, first of all the reaction that I don't want to deal with. Second of all, the smoke, the asshole who spills his beer on you, being squashed with your 3 different petticoats in a suffocating sea of human beings. All of that.
Paint, draw with charcoal, sculpt... imagine the headache if you get any art supplies stuck on your dress!
Perform surgery. Which I would never do anyways, but if I did I feel like lolita would make me a less effective surgeon and I blood stains suck.
Sports. Any sports at all.
Go out dancing, which should fall under the same umbrella as going to a crowded bar but I mean, in a bar you don't have to dance. You just have to sip your beer and talk with your buddies. Going out to dance in lolita would be a nightmare just because lolita doesn't really let you move as freely as you wish!
Do a job interview, because that's just unprofessional unless you somehow figure out how to tone it down.
MUDWRESTLE.
Bike. It scares me somehow, like the image of my petti getting caught in the wheels and falling and dying or something!
Go to a football game in Buenos Aires. Obvious reasons I don't have to explain I think!

I'm going to Tigre this weekend for a day trip, and hopefully I can take lots of cool photos. It should be fun and I'll obviously update here!

More Buenos Aires Adventures! With lolitas! and Lolita Challenge: Day 8

I'm really bad at updating this blog but I've honestly been actually busy right now! I'm loving Buenos Aires so far and I've done some really fun things this past week! I've really just been waiting for that picture of the empanadas to put this entry to a good start...
Soy muy mal en actualizando este blog pero ¡de verdad he estado muy ocupada! ¡He estado disfrutando de Buenos Aires hasta ahora y he hecho un montón de cosas esta semana! En realidad he estado esperando para esta foto con las empanadas para tener algo para empezar esta entrada mejor...

Last Sunday I met two e-lolita-friends for the first time: Violet and Eva. We went for a guided tour of the Illuminated Block! I wore my Infanta JSK with the pony and extensions so I can have cutie thick long braids since my own real hair isn't as impressive. I was definitely thinking of Lila Downs' album cover when I did this, too! Some photos are by me, and some are by Violet - you'll find out by clicking them!

Honestly, I don't really know how to answer that, since I don't really have "lolita role models." There are girls that I really admire, but they're usually my friends and I don't play favourites with them, and after that they're just girls who I think are adorable but in all honesty don't know more about than the ocassional photo of them that circulate around tumblr... so I'm skipping this! I know, it's basically like cheating, but really the only lolita that I got REALLY into was Princess Skye of the Princess Portal that was closed down a while ago (;0;) and it was more about her cute little lifestyle blog entries than really her style anyways! So since I've recently moved to Buenos Aires for the semester, I think I'll start doing my entries bilingually, kind of inspired from reading Ana's blog! I know that a lot of my friends who read this speak Spanish and I guess also my boyfriend would be more interested in reading this blog! BUENOS AIRES

On the 16th I left Budapest to finally go to Buenos Aires. Honestly, it's not as bad as going to Jakarta since it was like, 7 hours less! Plus, the jetlag isn't bad at all.

I didn't do much in the first few days, but I went to a few shopping malls and found this adorable brand called como quieres que te quiera and so far I've bought two skirts, a t-shirt, and a notebook from them. It's honestly quite cheap compared to other brands you usually find in Argentine malls.
No hacía mucho los primeros días, pero he ido a unos centros comerciales y he encontrado una marca adorable llamada como quieres que te quiera y ya he comprado dos faldas (o como lo dicen aquí, polleras), una camiseta (o mejor dicho, una remera jaja), y un cuaderno. Es más barato comparado con las otras marcas que usualmente encuentras en los centros comerciales argentinos.

Glitch, Sugary Carnival, Gyaru and Lolita Challenge: Day 5

Gábor came from Sopron and we spent the day in the city! It makes me feel awesome when I'm with Hungarians who know Budapest worse than I do, haha. I feel like an ~*igazi pesti*~

We first went to the National Theatre, to see what we were hoping to be a giant maze like in The Shining but turned out to be like, a third of the size of our expectations! We went to the top of the Zenith building though, and it had a cool view that was great for photos. For some reason when we were there a little girl started crying when she saw Gábor, haha.

Then we went to eat a little bit in Starbucks where they mispell a lot of things like my name (Miumi? Really?) and "Happy." HARRY BIRTHDAY STARBUCKS!!!

As we've planned, we went to the glitch art exhibition in Chinese Characters Gallery, which is in Vittula but we didn't know that so we wandered around confused for a while in one of the sketchiest districts haha~

They had this super cool TV that reacts to your voice!

We found this awesome painted Trabant after we left. I love Trabants, they're so kitschy and Hungarian, they remind me of like, the communist era or something.

Afterwards, we went to Fogasház, because my friend Gabriel (same name in different languages!) has an exhibition there. Anyone that lives in Budapest should check it out!

After that we were hungry so we did the classiest thing ever: we bought food in Burger King and then we ate it in Jellen, a Serbian bar.

I have some instax and polaroid photos to scan, but I just found out the scanner I have at home doesn't work! I'll try to scan them as soon as possible though~ Gábor also took some polaroids that'll be on his flickr!

One of my favourite Hungarian lolitas, Gigi, had her birthday party in Corvin Setány! I wish I brought my camera, I stupidly left it at home again, so the photos from the meetup were all from Gigi!

This day, Gigi also brought the PINK SUGARY CARNIVAL ONEPIECE (yes, that was necessary) that I bought from her! It's perfect in every single imaginable way shape and form!

I also bought a pair of Baby, the Stars Shine Bright socks from Loo. I've wanted a pair of nice plain white lace-topped socks for a while and Loo wanted to sell hers, so it was perfect!

Me and Loo took a bathroom photo. I look like I'm so short here, but in real life I'm a bit taller than Loo!

I decided to try putting stones on my face for the first time, I think it's cute!

We went to Manchuria to buy more gyaru-things. I'm always too afraid to take photos there, but Anna did! I came late, so the girls went to the market before me. These are their photos haha~

Do you see how many things are there? It's amazing and kinda overwhelming sometimes to be honest!

Then we went to McDonalds where I did the rest of my makeup and because I stupidly left my makeup bag at home I had to buy a new pair of falsies and use Loo's makeup derp. Everyone else did their makeup too though, so I'm not the only plastic barbie!

I bought a new bag, it reminds me of Meta's sparkly pink lucky pack bag! Do you see the similarity?

I found some Marie 3D stickers that are gigantic. I'm going to put these on my folders for this semester.

I also bought some more hair extensions and a pair of falsies with crystals on them to wear for my birthday, but I didn't take photos and now they're packed in my suitcases for Argentina haha~

Afterwards, we went to Sugár to check out this awesome secondhand shop that was having a 50% sale. I bought this adorable dress for 1250 HUF (US$6) and it's going to be awesome to wear in Argentina. I love the babydoll cut, it's so cute!

These shoes reminded me a lot of tea parties, only they cost me 1000 HUF (US$5) so they're better haha~ though I still want some real tea parties!

After shopping we just hung out in the grass close to Sugár, listened to parapara music and did some lazy parapara practice!

We went to eat in Ikea which is like the BEST place ever for food. I love eating Swedish meatballs with gravy and mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce!

Makeup and Lolita Challenge: Day 4!

Ever since going to the gyaru meetup, I've become obsessed with makeup and lashes! I've bought so much this week, it's ridiculous~ I mean, right now though, I'm sure I'm wearing it all the time (well, almost, I don't wear it at home) just because it's summer vacation and I have the time to do it. However, I've learned so much from just a short period of time, especially things like putting on falsies. I don't know, I think I'm just in this honeymoon period with makeup, since I used to wear only eyeliner but now I find it so fun just to put it on every morning, even if it's the same kind as every day! I'll probably make a makeup review thing sometime~

I went to West End with Loo even though originally I was going to stay at home and do nothing. I'm at that mall like, all day every day now because I think it's the largest in Hungary (or second largest?) and it's in such a central place. It has most of the stores I need anyways, like H&M, Tally Weijl, dm, and claire's. I keep on forgetting to bring my camera to places! Then, if I do, I'm too self-concious to take photos, derp (。┰ω┰。)

I wore new eyelashes from essence that I just bought that day. They were a bit more expensive than in the Chinese Market (dubbed Manchuria by my gyarus~) but not that much. I think they were 800 HUF (US$4) as opposed to how in Manchuria you can get sets of two lashes for 400 HUF (US$2, so US$1 per pair!) but I needed new lash glue because the kind that came with the ones I bought the first time was terrible! It didn't stick at all and there was very little.

My outfit was inspired by Marie from Aristocats, mostly because of the shoes I was wearing.

I bought the big pink satin bow in the market in Nyugati Palyaudvar, which is this sketchy train station that's connected to West End, and now it's going on my foxtail, like Marie's!

PROTIP: Stuff here isn't actually cheaper than in West End, so always price compare, then price compare with Manchuria so you don't get ripped off. I bought this because it was actually a pretty good price (400HUF I think, so around US$2?) but for example, the nail glue and lashes are more expensive than in Manchuria, and some of the nail stickers cost the same as in West End, the difference being that West End is less sketchy and cleaner!

The tail's inspired by these ones that I saw on tumblr, but I think mine is prettier ~(=^･ω･^)

On Wednesday, I went to Manchuria for the second time to stock up on lashes and cute little things with Loo and Bethany, and we also went to Europeum and West End (surprise!)

I successfully put on lashes by myself this day! I was SO happy, since I love wearing falsies so much but it was ridiculous to put them on. I tried using an applicator, but personally I don't think it helps as much as it should, since in the end I always have to adjust it with my fingers anyways.

I bought five pairs of lashes! I can't wait to try them all out~ Also, you can see my "fang" in this photo, I have super sharp canines!

I also bought some cute stickers that I'm using on my iPad's case, and these adorable nail stickers that I plan on using this weekend.

I bought two pieces of felt that were 80HUF (US$0.40) each and these two polar bear iron-on appliques... I'm not sure what to put them on yet, maybe my pink jeans?

As an early birthday present, Bethany bought me these three star-clips. I think I'm going to wear them for Gigi's super-lolita birthday party on Saturday!

One of the most awesome things though, is that my faux rosary from Kathryn arrived! I hate the post right now, for making me worry so much. I usually send my mum her supplements from the US (i.e.: BOXES FULL OF PILLLS) and they get here in a week, tops. But for some reason US post or Hungarian customs wanted to hold on to my awesome necklace for like, three weeks. What?

I love it so much, I know I'll be wearing it a lot! Especially to go partying in Buenos Aires (in a week!)

1. Cream soups

Maybe this is because I ate them a lot when I was young, but I love pretty much all cream soups. My favourites are tomato and mushroom!

2. Macarons

Cliché lolita answer, I know, but they ARE delicious. My favourite was when I was in Milan and I bought the lavender macaron-ice-cream. That was so yummy! Lavender macarons are the best!

3. Deep-dish pizza

I'm a college student, so that means that I eat A LOT of pizza and nothing sounds better than a deep dish pizza with sausage, pepperoni, bacon, and mushrooms.

4. Anything with mushrooms in it

Seriously though. My boyfriend and I once cooked this type of quiche with shrimp and mushrooms in it, and by the time we were supposed to mix everything together I've probably eaten half of the mushrooms!

5. Tortilla de patatas

This is something I can really only have when my boyfriend is visiting, since most places outside of Spain don't do it right. Once we made some with bacon and it was the best!

6. Lángos

Big, greasy lángos with a lot of tejföl and bits of bacon-lard (yeah, I love Hungary for their use of bacon-lard.) Just. THAT.

7. Gesztenyepüré
But only the homemade kind! The supermarket kind is always, ALWAYS, wrong in some way.

8. Hungarian szalami

Especially the spicy kind. In Boston I buy it from the Russian store per pound and eat them like Pringles.

9. Anything with strawberries in it
I loveee strawberries. This one time I went to a family friend's house to help babysit these adorable French-Indonesian girls and we picked strawberries in the backyard and ate them with vanilla sugar. Best day EVER!

10. Red velvet cupcakes

This is something I didn't discover until I moved to the US and I swear, if I discovered it sooner I'd probably be five times my weight now or something. They're SO good!

Gyaru Times and Lolita Challenge: Day 3!

Loo is the coupon queen, so we went to McDonalds and got even cheaper food~ (o≧∇≦)o Me and Bethany got Happy Meals, and they came with Kung Fu Panda masks! So cute~

I lost my debit card though, and the stupid girl at the McDonalds got my credit card blocked ((◣囲◢╬))y (EDIT: I just got a facebook message from one of the workers in ¡ARRIBA TAQUERÍA! that they found my debit card! JOY AND HAPPINESS!)

These days, I've really liked black and red coordinates, and I feel that I should wear it more often (and clean my mirrors, haha!)

I also finally bought a new bellybutton ring. I've had mine pierced since I was 14 or 15, but I haven't changed the ring since I was 16 I think and it was looking really bad - a one eyed kitty with a random red dot that used to be a full flower! So, I found something simpler to substitute it.

The best part though, is that I found these two leather-y pink bows!

I don't know if I mentioned this yet, but my white Body Line cat heels that are basically my favourite shoes got damaged during my trip back home, and one of the bows got ripped off! So... from drab...

I went to a gyaru meet with the fabulous girls of AngeLove gal circle here in Budapest. Everyone was so gorgeous! I wish I didn't forget to take my camera, but thankfully Loo sent me all the photos so I'm mooching off her, haha~

I like the whole sexiness of gyaru, it's like, lolita is my sweet side and gyaru is my sexy side! This is why I don't understand why girls always post secrets about leaving lolita for gyaru, it's not like you have to choose one or another!

All the girls knew how to parapara, and we all parapara'd in Vaci utca for m0nie$ and got 400HUF... not bad ☆ﾐヾ(*´∇`) I need to learn to parapara also though! The video here is of one of the group leaders, Nori, and I wish I can someday be as good as her!

I think I'll start doing parapara as exercise, like 30 minutes at least a day! It's fun and this way I can try to get back in shape!

The weird cliquey-ness that I sometimes find. I mean, this isn't exclusive to lolita obviously but since it's a smaller community I feel like it's more noticeable!
People who can't take criticism regarding their coordinates and take it as a personal attack. Girls, if you don't wanna learn than so be it but all I wanted to say was that those shoes don't go with that dress, not that you're a terrible person! Chill! Concrit is GOOD!
The ridiculous prevalence of slut-shaming! Obviously not all lolitas are like this, but I hate slut shaming no matter what. Like, girls who say that mainstream fashion is for dumb whores, what? Since when was lolita about chastity, seeing as it's based in the super libertine Roccoco era, haha.
When girls don't put an effort into their looks in lolita. I don't mean be OTT all the time, but match your colours, wash your face, wear nice shoes and wash your hair! It's really that simple.
Scalping. No, I won't buy your Sugary Carnival for $800 because I don't appreciate $300-500+++ markups (I mean, who does?)
The quality of the plastic jewelery. I've had to fix my BTSSB headband twice already and I've heard horror stories of AP bangles snapping as girls put them on!
People who take photos without asking. Um, just ask dude, I won't kick you in the shins or something!

Shipping fees. Seriously, why can't we just magically teleport everything for free?

Last Saturday, me and Bethany went to watch the Champions League finals with my parents in the Marriot. Barça, as expected, WON! I'm so happy! We also got to drink delicious drinks all night (^u^)

I tried to have an outfit with Barça's team colours since I was going to buy a jersey but at the time didn't have the money ;0; but I guess it was an okay try? Also, I tried to do Sailor Moon inspired hair but I think my hair is too thin for that! (;^;)

Today, I tried to be as productive as possible, and by that I mean not just spend all day on Pretty Pet Tycoon (-u-) I went to the city and found myself this adorable cardigan! It's from New Yorker, which was pretty surprising since they usually have more clubby-party-sexy clothes! I'm in love with the heart-shaped buttons!

Speaking of heart-shaped buttons and cardigans... I also changed the buttons on the sleeves of my cardigan because I forgot to do that when I put on the bunny buttons! So I had pretty buttons in the front, and ugly buttons on the sleeves! I would've preferred to have them be all pink heart buttons, but the pack that I bought only had two... but thankfully they also had bow buttons!

Finally since buying these clip-on ponytails last year, I detangled them! They got progressively more tangled due to wear, and after a lot of conditioner and brushing (tip: brush little by little, starting at the bottom!) they don't look as ratty and gross! It didn't really show in photos, but I didn't even like touching them when I wore them since they were so tangled, but now they're silky soft! I think it's because before it also had some kind of stiffener from the manufacturer that made it "sticky"? I don't know~

I also deco'd my DSi with the stickers I bought in the Chinese Market, and now it's fabulous and bedazzled!

Day 2: 10 things you love in lolita

PRINTS! APPLIQUES! Anything but plain designs! If something doesn't have either, then at least it needs a cute detail like rabbit ears or heart shaped pockets. It's really hard for me to like anything without these things, with very few exceptions!
The community. I feel like lolita has connected me with more people just out of our love for lolita! Especially since I move around alot, I love that almost wherever I go I can find a group of lolitas. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to find them even in Israel as well~
Taking photos, because us lolitas love it! Everytime I go to a meetup, I take at least 20 photos and it's just so much fun, plus it's always nice how in some photos you can see the clear contrast between the gray boring city and SUPER BRIGHT sweet lolitas (^u^)
Offbrand loliable-item hunting. Ever since I've gotten into lolita it seems to have curbed my shopping obsession: I don't just buy things willy nilly since I want (almost) everything to be able to be worn with lolita, or be in some way lolita inspired.
That feeling when your dress finally arrives in the mail since, let's face it, not all of us can afford to go to Japan/San Fransisco/Paris to buy things in store and the waiting and the anticipation just adds to the magic of opening up that package and pulling out that beautiful dress you've been dreaming of.
Lolifying everything: changing buttons on cardigans and coats, painting ponies on a pair of sneakers, embroidering a bunny on your handkerchief...
The thrill of deal-hunting when you go on the comm_sales and dig through all possible posts for a dream item for a price you can afford!
Trying to get the most out of my wardrobe and thinking up a million different ways to wear a JSK, OP, or skirt!
The abundance of pretty pastel colours, since it's so hard to find that right shade of baby pink, lavender, or mint anywhere else.
Those moments when people you don't even know compliment your outfit. I feel like that doesn't happen unless you're in something as outrageous as lolita!

Honestly, I don't know what this is supposed to mean ;0; I'm guessing this is about my whole lolita "life"? So here goes...

I don't consider myself a lifestyle lolita by any stretch, and honestly I think the concept is strange... to me, lolita is just clothes. However, they're clothes that somehow fit my tastes from even before I knew lolita existed: pink, fluffy, lacy, princess things! So basically, my love for lolita existed even before I knew lolita did!
Obviously, seeing that last question my favourite style would be sweet. I mean, I would love to one day wear a very sweet simple gothic coordinate (maybe a long sleeved black OP with a white peter pan collar, a black parasol, black mary janes, braids and white tights Wednesday Addams style?) but my love will always be sweet - from super toned down otome to OTT!
I love less "orthodox" meetups. I mean, tea parties are great and dandy but one of these days I want to go have a lolita house party. And by house party I mean getting trashed Asher Roth college style, of course. I'd kindly also suggest not wearing your best of best burando >uo
I would love to wear lolita every day, but it's just not practical since I'm not an early riser (hence, not enough time to get ready) and plus I have a feeling my coordinates would end up repeating themselves after a while...
I don't own a lolita coat. It's the next thing I need... maybe I should slow down on the JSKs and OPs?
I also don't really have any lolita long-sleeved blouses, mostly because most of them look frumpy on me in my opinion. The only one that I owned I've sold, and the others well, are gorgeous but not exactly lolita.
I wish I knew more lolitas who've gone greek! It would be nice to know other sisters in lolita! I plan on buying a nice white JSK to wear to initiation my senior year, and hopefully I can also have an adorable little sister who likes cute things (though not necessarily lolita) like me!
I would never smoke in brand. I don't mind smoking in Body Line or handmade or indies or replicas, but mostly because I feel like those items aren't the kind I would try to sell again, since I wouldn't make that much money off them anyways!
I think every lolita should know their local group. I know two, and soon I'll know three and I can't wait! For some reason a lot of girls feel intimidated with meeting other lolitas, but in my experience girls are usually really sweet! I've met the best girls through meetups who I'd meet even outside of lolita~
I always buy second hand brand. Maybe one of these days I'll buy a lucky pack, but I hate chancing it. I'd rather know what I'm buying, and plus it's cheaper secondhand (unless we're talking about Puppet Circus or anything Moitié!)

So earlier this week I found out that it's possible to buy hair extensions for 800HUF (US$4) per piece in the Chinese market, so obviously I begged her to take me there and we went with Nekohime. I wish I took photos of the market, but I didn't bring my little camera and it's dangerous to show off my big one (π_π) I bought so much stuff for so cheap!

First off, my hair extensions. They're too long right now and I need to get them cut (I think I'm going to go to the hairdresser and have her do it for me) but they're great! I might need to buy more though, I think. I'm also thinking about sewing them together to have one big hairpiece instead of clipping three different ones... we'll see!

I bought two packs of falsies for 1000HUF (US$5) and I can't wait until Loo teaches me how to put them on, since we're going to a gyaru meetup on the 4th! I also bought some flower hair accessories, but those are from H&M and cost 800HUF (US$4)

Of course, I also bought some deco jewels. I think I'm going to use most of them on my DS and my brand new iPad! All of them together were 2000HUF (US$10) and I think that's a really good price seeing how much I got~

Finally, my pink shiny bag. Loo has the same one but in lavender, and it cost 1000HUF (US$5). The inside lining is this weird super thin plasticy thing, but I don't really care haha. I needed a new handbag, and how can I resist such a good deal? It fits EVERYTHING!

The best part is though, that my dad surprised me with an iPad 2! He even chose a pink cover like I asked him~ Thanks daddy! Now I need to buy keychains to hang off that little part on the corner and deco the case!

I left Boston to go to Budapest a week ago (exactly a week before The Rapture, whoo! I guess I'm left behind...) and it's great to be home! I get to have a nice big bed instead of my tiny dorm bed, I get to eat homemade food, the weather is beautiful, and I get to see my friends again after a long time being away from Hungary!

On Wednesday I hung out with Gigi, Nekohime, Merccyke and Loo for a mini lolita meetup! We hung out in Gigi's house, then we went to Alée to eat junkfood, drink coffee, and troll around some shops. We took some silly photos in front of Gigi's house, it was fun!

For my outfit that day, I wanted something nice and summery to celebrate that it's finally spring! I think it's a very casual lolita outfit, and maybe some people think I'm ~*breaking the rules*~ by going socks-less but if you lived in Boston for as long as I have and have this weather... you'd appreciate it more!

As some of you know, I'm going to leave Boston for (hopefully) a year to study abroad in Buenos Aires and (hopefully) Haifa! I'm leaving on June 20th to go to Buenos Aires and obviously I'm super excited! That said, the past few weeks have been ridiculously hectic which is why I haven't updated at all: sorority stuff, Anime Boston, finals, packing... so here's a kinda-long-summary of what's been happening in my life for the past few like, decades haha

I got officially initiated into ∆∆∆ so basically it just means I'm a sister instead of a New Member, wear white to do a secret ritual and get a pretty gold pin (jk my big's sending mine to me when I'm in Argentina since they have to custom order them with our initials and that obviously takes time)

My sisters decorated my door when I wasn't at home! I came home from one of my classes and this was how it looked. Seeing the glittery pink ∆s, they obviously already know me really well~

I decorated a paddle for my biggie~ she actually crochets but "sisters who knit together stay together" sounds nicer, haha

Kili moved to Boston for a month to take English courses! I also got to wear sparkly gold shoes that made me look almost as tall as Kili (but that's impossible for me even when I wear my winged rocking horse shoes...)

On Valentine's Day we went to eat in a French restaurant that I usually love but it was way too crowded and the service was super slow! I always had to be like "HI I HAVE TO ORDER NOW ITS BEEN LIKE AN HOUR (≧ρ≦｡)ﾉｼ" because they added too many tables (I think the waitress said they added 15 tables for that day...) but the food was delicious like always so at least it wasn't that bad.

Kili also loves to make awesome surprises for me for Valentine's, like this one year he blew up hundreds of balloons in his hotel room to greet me after we went home from visiting the zoo in Budapest~

Well, this year he decided to get a dozen roses and pin them on my ceiling! He told me to go to one of my sorority recruitment meetings to paint my badge, and this is what I came home to! They're still up right now because we put hairspray to keep them up~

The Saturday before Kili left we went to the chocolate bar at Langham Hotel, where I went with the lolitas just a few weeks before. It was just as delicious, but I was sick so I didn't get to eat much... but Kili made up for it and got our money's worth, of course (◕ლ◕๑)

I went to visit my friend Veronica for her equestrian show in Connecticut and got to see her and her adorable dog~ I'm obsessed with chihuahuas, so whenever I see Csipi it's like I've met my soulmate~ also, behold how I look like without makeup haha

I also got to go out with her friends from the equestrian team. My shirt is obviously intentional... I wish I had my own horsie shirt, since I had to borrow this from Veronica~

On Mardi Gras, I decided to go to Middle East for the 18+ dance party! I really missed the tradition of Farsang in Hungary, which was like a second halloween, and of course this can't compare to it but it was fun!

I wore the super cute bear hat that Marisol's sister made for me~

Look at all those beads... Allison, who took the photo, is from New Orleans so she had a lot of beads to share with us! We're planning on knitting some bracelets that say DTF because of this party, haha

ﾟ･:･,｡★SPRING BREAK★,｡･:･ﾟ

For Spring Break, I went home to Budapest for a week. It was way too short of a break in my opinion (;0;) but I got to meet my Hungarian lolitas and even go to Vienna! They have creepy Chucky-looking dolls at the Douglas cosmetic stores in Austria...

On Thursday I went to Vienna to buy my dress for my sorority's initiation, which proved to be harder than I expected. I finally found one in H&M for 20€, but I'll show it to you guys when I finally get all the photos for my next entry (natural light's been scarce in Boston so I can't take pretty photos of my stuff (*≧Д≦) I met up with Julia, who for some reason I usually only meet in Indonesia, 24 hours away by plane, as opposed to in Vienna, 2 hours away by car!

They had a Fifi Lapin collection in pimkie, but I didn't really like any of their stuff sadly, since I think that Fifi Lapin is one of the cutest things ever!

I also met with Gábor in Vienna for the first time, but we didn't take any photos ∩|＞Д＜๑|∩ which just means that we're required to meet again during the summer and take silly photobooth photos!

On Friday, I met up with some of the Hungarian lolitas and watched Tropic Thunder. I think it's the best worst movie! The meetup was pretty last minute, and Loo arranged it for me after we decided that we should have a meetup over some beers in Jellen (such rori behaviour!)

We also went to get coffee in the Costa Coffee in Alée! I think I'm obsessed with their gingerbread lattes now! As Merccyke said, it's like Christmas every day of the year!

When we were taking these group photos a man told us to "watch out for aliens." I think he was crazy ヽ｜๑⊙～⊙๑｜ノ I pinned my bangs back because I forgot to bring my straightener to Budapest and my bangs were starting to annoy me~ I wore my Unicorn Fantasy skirt and I think I could've done a much better coordinate... but I had limited resources since I didn't bring too many of my things back to Budapest!

The classic lolita meetup photos of the circle of skirts, circle of shoes, and star fingers were necessary, of course!

They had these giant displays of Macbook Airs and it reminded me of the one that I have, haha. I really love the one that I own~ it's so light and awesome!

Then I arrived in Boston on Saturday and didn't know that I can't move into my dorm until Sunday! But thankfully my friend let me stay over at her place, so I was safe~

So, I was offered 600€ to stay in Frankfurt overnight because my flight was overbooked and I graciously declined the offer. Why? Because I wanted to be in Boston in time to go to the lolita meetup at the MFA!

I was originally planning on wearing my Unicorn Fantasy skirt but in the end opted for Tiara Rose because it's a beautiful JSK that I don't wear nearly as often as I should. I'm planning on wearing it to my sorority's formal, even!

We went to see the new American wing! It made me wish I lived in Colonial America, because everything was so beautiful.

They even had a room that was ALL PINK.

We explored the rest of the museum, which I've seen multiple times and still can't get over how amazing everything was. I mean, the last time I was here was for the college party night in the beginning of last semester!

Seriously, my favourite part of the museum hands down are the gigantic rooms filled with giant paintings. They remind me of the Budapest Fine Art Museum where I used to spend so much time back in high school!

We also saw the Arnold Scaasi couture exhibit. It was filled with beautiful clothes~

We took silly photos with the cool black and white background close to the gift shop! I especially love the punk vs sweet photos of me and Lara. The contrast is awesome!

Me and Kiki were surprisingly the only super pink sweet lolitas at the meet! It almost felt like we were twinning on accident~

I mean, we even wore matching watches!

So, as a lot of you know, I'm currently pledging for a sorority! I love it and all the girls I've met, and I've always wanted to be in a sorority since I was in high school (in HUNGARY!) and I'm finally, actually, in one! I was going to write an entry about Kili's visit, but I think it really deserves a separate entry, so I'll be publishing that in a bit (๑＾ー＾)

Coincidentally, the week Kili came to Boston was Alpha Week, and the day after Kili arriving was actually the day I got my bid (and of course, my Bid Day shirt!) and he got to experience my giddiness from being invited to join ΔΔΔ! I didn't go through formal recruitment the beginning of the semester because I forgot to register ╰｜≧ー≦ ｜ but for me it didn't really matter just because I knew which sorority I wanted to join already ╰(・～・ )

During Alpha Week, there were a lot of events, including painting out New Member pin boxes (that are really just matchboxes, but we need them since the New Member pins are SO tiny)

Last week was Big/Little Week, and basically for three days I was showered with gifts until when my Big was revealed to me on Friday! I love all of the gifts, and especially the little dolphin plushie that Kili and I have christened Deva, after a river in Cantabria.

Day 1

a roll of Hello Kitty colouring pages, bubbles, a Hello Kitty puzzle, a Tigger amigurumi, and a froggy I can colour!

Day 2

a tri delta frame, a frame that looks like a roll of film, a book of stickers, a tri delta notebook, and a Disney Princess giant pen

Day 3

tri delta bag, pink dolphin plushie, tri delta sunglasses, nail art utensils, pink and yellow bows (tri delta colours are blue and gold, so that's why I got the yellow bows!), cupcake lipbalm and two headbands

The Wednesday I got pinned (AND picked up my second gift...) making me an official Baby Delta! I got to wear my cat shoes (๑❛□❛) Basically, we had to wear "pin attire," which really is an awesome way for me to have a reason to dress up so I can wear my pin~

I wish I took photos of last Friday when I met my family, but I didn't... so instead here's a picture of me with the clue that I was in the Tiger Family (；´▽`)

I personally thought everyone looked fabulous, and it was so great that Alik's fiancée came and dressed to match with us! After the Langham Hotel, we went to Prudential Center to eat some more non-sweet things then look around some shops! Everyone thought this was a hilarious sign ╮｜▰⊙∀⊙｜╭

I also bought a new backpack for classes because I've been using a shoulder bag for a while because my old MARC backpack was dying on me! I saw it on the official Sanrio site and wanted it... so when I saw it here I bought it straight away! It's so adorable and makes me think of fairy kei~

Also, if any of you guys follow me on tumblr or flickr, you'd have seen that I've been taking a photo of my outfit almost every day (ironically not today!) as per my New Year's resolution! Here are my favourite outfits of this month:

I think the best part of this meme is that it forces me to clean my room more regularly because otherwise I'm completely capable of making it messy beyond belief o(￣ω￣๑)ツ Also, I put more effort into coordinating what I wear! However, I also feel like I only wear black and pink which is a bit boring... but in my defense I've been hunting for things in mint and lavender for a while but these Autumn/Winter clothes just don't come in those colours! I'm so tempted to just buy things once a month but buy them from Japanese brands because they just fit me better than Western brands, but it's so expensive (＞Д＜｡)ﾉｼ ahhh, what to do? ┐|･ิo･ิ▰|┌

First week of class is over!

The first week of class is over, finally! We had a half-snow day on Friday, so all classes before 11 AM were cancelled. I only had to go to my Israeli Cinema class so I was happy! We saw A History of Israeli Cinema

I haven't done much this week, really. I went to Harvard Square with a friend today to buy books for my Spanish class and Borges' El Aleph - I've been searching for it for AGES (◕ˇェˇ◕；)ﾉｼ- in Schoenhof's (apparently, the biggest foreign bookstore in the continent) and then to have some hot chocolate in L. A. Burdick (and of course, take some macarons to go!)

Then, I went to Newbury St. to check out the new Forever 21 store as well as H&M to buy cardigans... and I ended up buying a cardigan in Forever 21, some sparkly pink nailpolish and this adorable bow-shirt in H&M. Also pictured are three macarons instead of five because two got crushed on my way home ( ◕ˇ△ˇ◕)o彡ﾟ and the beloved Borges book.

Budapest Lolita Meetup

Last Saturday, I finally got to meet some of my favourite girls in Budapest for a lolita meetup after rescheduling at least three times to fit most people's schedules! I wish my petticoat (that I'm still waiting for, must be the new year's shipping delays or something) was already here, so I didn't have to use my short petticoats like usual ;^; We had so much fun!

First, we went to Starbucks at West End to wait for the girl who organised the meetup in the first place and still came late, Loo ╰|･ิ∀･ิ |

I wore my blouse originally, but all the stores in the mall were way too hot for me to keep it on, and I wore a cardigan anyways so it wasn't like I was ~breaking lolita rules

We then went to Claire's and the food court. I bought my clip-on ponytails that I'm currently OBSESSED with (and make up for how short my hair is right now since my hairdresser cut too much off... ლ(◕ˇェˇ◕ლ))

Afterwards, we went to an ita shop in Pest that I sadly didn't get any photos of! I don't understand why people prefer buying from really really bad eBay lolita stores instead of Body Line when they start out a lolita store. I'm not asking for Angelic Pretty and Moi Meme Moitié, just... not plastic lace? Though, they did have the brand that I have one dress from... but I got all the lace taken off since I knew it was an adorable dress if not for the lace. It's the dress most left in this photo and was a wonderful birthday present from my friend Alula ╮(╹▽╹✿)╭

The next place is probably now one of my favourite places in Budapest: Sugar! Shop (＾Д＾) it's so so cute and the cakes and macarons (!!!) and everything are so sweet and delicious, plus the design of the place is just cute!

MACARONS! Of course, not Ladurée quality but still very, very delicious. I love lavender macarons with all my heart and it was so exciting to find them in Budapest. I haven't had them since I was in the Ladurée in Milan!

A New Years and Christmas post~!

So, I arrived in Budapest on the 23rd, right before Christmas. I've had some fun these past days! Budapest is so cold though, as you can see o|｡´ー`｡|ツ When I arrived, my mum instantly took me shopping at Zara in Vaci utca, the big shopping street~ it was so fun!

On Christmas day, I wore a coordinate inspired by Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer only using Milky-chan and my favourite colour... pink! I finally got to wear my Milky-chan shoes that the seller accidentally sent to Hungary ( ＞△＜)o彡ﾟ and the cardigan I bought on that arrival-shopping trip o(￣▽￣▰)ツ

Then on the day after Christmas (would that be the second day of Christmas?) I went to the Embassy and wore my pink Body Line Ice Cream JSK~ I love that dress so much, I can wear it anywhere!

I also saw the Nutcracker ballet for like, the millionth time. I fell asleep, but I felt bad since my parents got us tickets in a booth (✿≧△≦) It's just that I've seen it so often that I already know every scene and every dance basically

I met up with my friend Bethany and we went to an ~*authentic*~ Irish pub COMPLETE WITH A DRUNK IRISHMAN TO GREET YOU to watch the Arsenal vs Chelsea game (go Arsenal!) o(๑＾o＾๑)o

Yesterday, I went on a shopping trip with my friend Jack and bought a Diana-lens adapter for my camera so I can get a cheaper fish-eye lens and all the other Diana lenses... I also bought postcards to send to my friends, and a super cute Marie kewpie!

This New Year, I didn't do much. I'm staying in a hotel near the Danube now and wore a silly pink bunny hat~ Here it is together with my mum and her friend ( つ'∀')つ

As for Christmas presents, my parents didn't get me anything because they're (hopefully) getting me a MacBook Air in February-ish. So I got myself some since I'm in Budapest and my money is now just for me instead of food:

So finally, now that my winter break has started I have time to update this blog again! I miss having free time ╰(･ิ∀･ิ )

I finished my final exams last week, and I hate how I ended with a C+ in two classes... my GPA is still okay, but I'm just angry because I kept a B average in both and I screwed up the final o|◕ˇρˇ◕｡|ツ this happens all the time! BUT, I'll work harder next semester ╰|＞o＜ |

A lot has happened... over thanksgiving break, my parents sent me some money so I bought myself a DS. I need to learn how to install the purikura app on it tho~ I love taking photos with my DS (｡´∀`)ﾉｼ These are a few from when Kili visited:

Kili visited in the beginning of December, it was awesome! We did so many things in Boston~

We went to Matisyahu's concert. He's a Hasidic rapper/reggae singer who I love love love. I wish he chose me to light the menorah!

PINK SUGAR HEART ATTACK~!!

In the past month or so, I re-ignited my love and passion for Sailor Moon because I went to New England Comic Con and bought eight issues and decided to re-read the whole story! Being the financially irresponsible person I am, obviously this means that I have to start collecting merchandise, but even more importantly I decided that I'll cosplay Chibi Moon for Anime Boston this year with the help of my cosplay-expert twin Noy ^0^

So, this is my collection:

I got these comics for $4 each, which was a damn good deal. One day I'll have them all!

This pencil case reminds me of the ones I had when I was a kid, and I love bringing it to class. It makes everything look so organised~ I have another pencil case in this style back in Hungary, but it's not Sailor Moon ;0;

Luna P! I even took a video so you'd know what it does ;D

Chibi Moon doll from Irwin. My dream doll is the Nakayoshi Baby Doll, but this would do for now. I need to fix the odangos (change the rubber bands because they've gone too loose) but other than that it's in really good condition!

Last but not least, PINK SUGAR HEART ATTACK WAND! I love it so much, I don't think that my cosplay would be in any way complete without it! It's definitely my favourite, and the only thing out of my collection that came with a box (even if it was the wrong box - my wand is the BANDAI Japanese version but the box is the Irwin North American version)

That's all I have for now, but I'm obviously planning on collecting more, even though I guess I'm not really a collector? I just love cute toys and I love Sailor Moon, so I don't care about the quality unless it's just terrible. This is my wishlist:

When Kili visited, he brought me a cheap €1 wide angle analog camera, like the ones we used on field trips in elementary school, and we bought some fine colour lomo film to use with it. So, we took some photos during his visit and I developed them two days ago.

Rodrigo was a crackhead (eyebags courtesy of Randi's makeup) and brought a baggy of salt around - very convincing. The jacket was actually bought for his costume the day after but was too big, so we made this costume.

The other day my friend Camlinh asked me if I would model for her, because she wants to improve her photography skills and I agreed. After the hard decision of choosing shiro over sweet (very, very hard for me obviously!) we went and had photos taken with Jenny and Yajaira around Boston yesterday! I can't wait til Camlinh gets more fancy lenses because even with what she has now she can take such nice photos ^u^ Here are my favourites:

I've been so ridiculously busy these days, with school and also my ~*social life*~ so I haven't been able to be online as much as I used to! I guess it's a good thing in some ways? To end, I will show you the state of the bathroom at the party I was at last night:

You're sure to fall in love with old Cape Cod

For Columbus weekend, I went with Kili to Cape Cod! It's so beautiful there, and it made me wish I was a Kennedy so I can be there all the time.

When we arrived, we had breakfast in a place called Persy's, it was so cute and quaint and apparently has the biggest breakfast menu in The Cape? ºωº

We walked around the harbour where we stayed, and there were still so many boats. I'm not sure if they take the boats away when winter comes or just keep them there!

Because I lost one of my double pointed needles on the bus(a crisis, obviously) we went to a little mall and got to know a more suburban part of the area~

The beach and the foliage was perfect, as it always has been and always will be in New England, even if we had to walk half an hour to the beach and it was a little cold!

On the way back from the beach, we saw the corpse of a squirrel (I think?) and it was so strange to me how it seemed like the meat was taken off so cleanly from the spine.

There were some funny things we saw also ^0^

Main Street was adorable. We even went to the JFK Museum, and wanted to check out the library but it was closed on Columbus Day ;^;

and of course, no trip to Cape Cod is perfect without a boat ride. We went on a boat and drank wine while enjoying the sunset and wishing we lived in Great Island instead of the Chase family.

Before we left to return to Boston, we ate at Spanky's Clam Shack and I wish I took photos of the bouilabousse because it was delicious. I honestly fell in love with Cape Cod and wish I can live there forever (or at least, every single summer?) Instead, here's a photo of a mushroom necklace I made for barror ^u^ I've crafted a bit more in this week but that'll be a whole other post!
